The cities of the Rust Belt were crumbling long before The Fall. Quintessential American greed sent good jobs overseas and decimated the steel and automobile industries, leaving foundries and factories to collapse into disrepair. As the jobs vanished, so too did the quality of life people had come to expect from the once-booming region.
